PayPal Scammers

PayPal users need to be very careful about replying to any emails that appear to be from PayPal as there is at least one PayPal phishing email on the go at the moment. I nearly replied to this one but then I reminded myself to check it and when you read it you can see that it is a phishing email.

The first part of the body of the email is as follows;

"Update Your Information
It has came to our attention that your PayPal billing information are out of date. This require you to update your billing information as soon as possible.
This billing update is also a new PayPal security statement which goes according to the established norms on our terms of service (TOS) to reduce the instance of fraud on our website.

Please update your records . A failure to update your records may result on a suspension of your account."

Did you notice the poor english throughout the text?

The cheeky buggers even include the following text;
"Make sure you never provide your password to fraudulent websites.
PayPal will never ask you to enter your password in an email."

I spoke to someone who knows a bit more than me about the technical side of these things who showed me the mail header information ( I think that is what its called which showed the email coming originally from "nobody".

This email is clearly a PayPal phishing scam so if you get it or something like it don't whatever you do reply to it.
