I see that our politicians have been clashing again over the EU treaty and the issue of whether we should have a referendum. This whole debate over how we stand in the EU seems to just go on and on. I know why Gordon Brown doesn't want a referendum because I am sure he knows that he would lose one. Then there would be calls for a vote of no confidence in the government I suspect and the Labour Government would seem weakened by such a result.
It's clear to me that while most people don't necessarily want to leave the EU they certainly are not keen on further entrenching the EU's hold over our lives and further erosion of our sovereignty. I think we should have a referendum. What about you?
